This sculpture is forged as a single heavy-gauge piece from 304/316 stainless steel, twisted into multiple flowing, intertwined ribbon layers that wind around one another along the full height of the structure, before the entire surface receives a high-gloss red fluorocarbon coating in place of the mirror-polished steel finish used on many companion pieces. Achieving an even, consistent high-gloss red finish across a complex, multilayered twisting surface requires meticulous spray application and curing, since any inconsistency in coating thickness would be immediately visible as uneven gloss or color variation across the curved ribbon layers once the piece is installed in direct sunlight.

The bold red coloring transforms what would otherwise read as an elegant, restrained abstract form into a genuinely energetic, attention-commanding landmark, with the color choice drawing on long-standing associations between red tones and themes of rising fortune, vitality, and forward momentum.
